Part of DF’s signature T-shirt series that has been loved for over 20 years since our founding, this is the first model in the new Wide Fit silhouette to feature natural indigo dyeing.

Each piece is dyed with care, creating a deep and beautiful indigo blue that only handcraft can achieve.

The indigo used is cultivated in Nara, Japan, where skilled artisans oversee the entire process—from growing tade-ai (Japanese indigo), to making sukumo (fermented indigo leaves), to the final dyeing. As a result, each garment has its own unique expression and presence.

The fabric is an exclusive DF jersey, slowly knitted on century-old Tompkins machines with specially commissioned yarn. This allows the fabric to retain the yarn’s natural softness, while providing a slightly weighty texture for both exceptional comfort and long-lasting durability.

The carefully designed Wide Fit silhouette offers a relaxed yet balanced look, perfect for those who prefer a slightly roomier fit. For example, if you normally wear size M in our Standard Fit T-shirt, you will find that size S in this Wide Fit offers a looser body width and slightly longer sleeves.

Highly breathable, it can be worn on its own in spring and summer, or layered in autumn and winter. Even after years of wear, it resists losing its shape, while developing a richer character over time.
