The classic cardigan from DF, which debuted 19 years ago, is back with a new silhouette.
It has evolved into a more comfortable fit and sophisticated design.
A fabric unique to DF, created from original yarn.
Using completely original melange fleece fabric. We went through numerous trials and errors from selecting completely custom yarn to setting the gauge and adjusting the knitting using a rare old Tompkins knitting machine.
The unique melange yarn of DF is produced in Japan as a special order. Using that yarn, it is slowly knitted on a rare Tompkins knitting machine from about 100 years ago located in Shanghai.
While it is an inefficient method to cross countries, I believe it is the best way to seek the craftsmanship of the finest artisans and factories.
The DF melange yarn series is the softest among DF fabrics.
It is also durable, resistant to shape distortion even after years of wear, and allows you to enjoy the changes over time.
The fabric that was created through such trial and error has a unique texture and softness.
A silhouette that can be enjoyed unisex.
A texture reminiscent of high-quality hand-knit and a basic shallow V-neck design.
The armholes have been updated to a more relaxed silhouette, accommodating a wide range from casual to smart styling for both men and women.
The ribbing at the cuffs and hem tightens the silhouette, making it a piece that conforms to the body the more you wear it.
Adopts a flat seam specification that minimizes contact with the skin.
In spring and summer, it serves as a light outer layer, while in autumn and winter, it works well as a layered inner piece.
