When we first started out, we were a children's clothing brand, so we were just two older guys and we worked really hard to come up with ideas.
One day, while searching the internet for second-hand clothes to get ideas for a project, I found a T-shirt.
The image was poor quality and I couldn't see it clearly, but I was really intrigued by the neckline of the T-shirt.
For some reason, when I saw it, I immediately thought, "It's a race!"
I asked my friend next to me, "Isn't this T-shirt nice? Doesn't it have lace around the neck?"
Then my partner said, "Race? Hmm (confusing)."
When I looked back at it, I realized that the neck of the T-shirt was just torn slightly. (laughs)
For a moment, the torn fabric looked like lace (laughs).
But I can't stop thinking about "lace around the neck" (laughs).
I asked my partner, "Can I put lace around the neck of a T-shirt?"
My partner looked a little confused and said, "Really, is it a race? To be honest, I don't know anything about races, but I'll ask Mr. So-and-so."
I contacted the factory.

I think that my partner never imagined that two old guys would be discussing racing together. (laughs)
A few days later, I received a thick sample book of lace from the factory.
I remember my friend looking at the sample book with a troubled expression on his face again. (laughs)
After that, the product was finally completed and was unexpectedly well-received.
