A new release based on DEVISE FACTORY's standard "DF Heather Relaxed Hoodie," incorporating the details of a 1950s vintage sweatshirt's attached hood.
The first attached-hood hoodie produced by DEVISE FACTORY. Rather than simply recreating a vintage look, we translated it into modern comfort, a knit-like material feel, and a contemporary silhouette.
The heather fleece, characterized by its supreme softness, is paired with a roomy relaxed fit. Regardless of age or gender, you can experience a wrapped-in comfort and a distinctive presence expressed through the material's rich texture.
DF's distinctive fabric, created from original yarn
We use completely original heather fleece fabric. Using a rare vintage Tompkins knitting machine, we went through repeated trial and error, from selecting custom yarn and setting the yarn count to fine-tuning the knitting process.
DF's distinctive heather yarn is custom-produced in Japan. Using this yarn, it is slowly knitted over time on a rare Tompkins knitting machine dating back approximately 100 years that still exists in Shanghai.
Although this is an inefficient production process spanning multiple countries, it is the best method we arrived at in pursuit of the craftsmanship of the finest artisans and factories.
The DF heather yarn series is characterized by the softest comfort among DF's many fabrics. It is also highly durable, resists losing its shape even after years of wear, and develops richer character over time.
The fabric, completed after repeated trial and error, has exceptional softness and a rich texture unlike any other.
While featuring a simple design that highlights the appeal of the material, this substantial garment combines a vintage feel with the quality of fine knitwear.
A carefully calculated silhouette and a garment that becomes more comfortable with wear
The silhouette sits between the slim and wide styles that have traditionally been standard, balancing ease of movement when worn with a smart appearance.
We rebalanced the slightly longer sleeves, somewhat narrower shoulders, and moderately roomy body width to create a relaxed fit that naturally conforms to the body.
The attached hood is slightly larger than the standard relaxed-fit hoodie. It creates just the right amount of volume around the neck, allowing you to enjoy the distinctive presence and beautiful shape of an attached-hood hoodie.
Flat-seam construction is used at the cuffs and waistband to reduce seam allowance bulk. Gussets are also placed at the front and back of the neckline and under both arms, creating details reminiscent of 1950s vintage garments.
A new attached-hood hoodie that incorporates the rational, beautiful details of a bygone era along with the materials, comfort, and silhouette DEVISE FACTORY has pursued, bringing it all together in a single garment.

FAQ
Q. Is regular washing okay?
Yes, that’s fine. Our products are carefully knitted on old-fashioned knitting machines, but they can be washed as usual. To keep them in better condition, we recommend using a laundry net. Also, with the exception of some materials (such as the Heathered Jersey series), they can be tumble-dried.
Q. Does it shrink after washing?
No, it will not shrink significantly in the wash. In fact, our products are at their most shrunk when new, and the fabric gradually loosens with repeated wear. Our products are made from fabric knitted slowly on old-fashioned knitting machines and designed using our own unique recipe. After the fabric is finished, it is sewn and then given additional treatments, such as washing and garment dyeing, to pre-shrink it as much as it naturally would.
That means the “fully shrunk” state is the new state, and washing causes almost no sudden change in size. However, the fabric will loosen with continued wear and shrink slightly when washed or tumble-dried (excluding some of our heathered jersey series). As the fabric loosens and shrinks repeatedly, it gradually conforms to your body.
Unlike mass-produced fabrics, which offer the benefits of modern manufacturing, our products have the distinctive qualities of traditional production methods. Enjoy their characteristics and how they change over time, in contrast to the qualities of modern fabrics.
Q. I usually wear a size M T-shirt (for someone 170–173 cm tall). Which size do you recommend in your products, S or M?
We offer standard, wide, and relaxed styles, and the fit varies by design.
For people with an average build (around 170 cm tall), we generally recommend the standard style in a just-right M size.
If you’d like a little extra room but prefer a shorter length, we recommend sizing down to S in the wide style.
Our items are available as staple pieces, so you can enjoy different looks and styling options simply by changing sizes. We hope you’ll give this approach a try.
